General Questions
The basics of working with us.
What exactly does DealershipBuyouts.com do?
We purchase extra, surplus, and obsolete automotive parts from dealerships, mechanics, repair shops, body shops, parts retailers, and warehouses. We evaluate your inventory, make a competitive cash offer, and handle all pickup and logistics — so you can turn dead stock into working capital without the hassle of piecemeal selling.
How do I get started?
Simply fill out our Get a Quote form with details about your parts — categories, approximate quantities, and photos if you have them. We'll respond within 24 hours with a competitive offer. No phone calls required, though you're always welcome to reach out.
Is there any cost to get an offer?
None at all. Submitting inventory, receiving an offer, and even our pickup service are completely free. You only get paid — never charged. There are no hidden fees, no listing costs, and no commission taken from your payment.
How long does the entire process take?
From submission to payment, most transactions are completed within 3–5 business days. The evaluation itself typically takes less than 24 hours. If you accept the offer quickly, we can often schedule pickup within 48 hours.
Do I have to accept the offer?
Never. All offers are 100% no-obligation. If the number isn't right for you, simply decline — no hard feelings, no fees, and no follow-up pressure. We'd rather earn your business with a fair offer than pressure you into a bad deal.
Do you serve my area?
Yes — we provide nationwide pickup across the United States. Whether you're in a major metro area or a rural location, our logistics team will coordinate a pickup that works for you. There's no additional charge for travel.
Pricing & Offers
How we determine the value of your parts.
How do you determine your offer price?
We base our offers on real-time market data, current demand, condition, completeness, and category. Our team evaluates each submission individually — we don't use automated algorithms or generic price sheets. The result is a fair, transparent offer backed by actual market pricing.
Will you lowball me?
No. We built our business on repeat customers and referrals — lowballing doesn't work in the long run. Our offers reflect genuine market value, and we're happy to explain how we arrived at our number. If you have a competing offer, let us know — we'll do our best to be competitive.
Can I negotiate the offer?
Absolutely. If you believe your parts are worth more — or if you have additional information that might affect value — let us know. We're open to counteroffers and will work with you to find a number that makes sense for both sides.
Does the offer expire?
Most offers are valid for 14 days, giving you time to review and consider. If you need more time, just reach out — we're flexible. After 14 days, we may need to re-evaluate if market conditions have changed significantly.
Do you charge for the evaluation?
No. Evaluations are always free, whether or not you end up selling to us. There's no cost to submit inventory, receive an offer, or ask questions. You're never obligated to move forward.
Pickup & Logistics
How we collect your parts — at no cost to you.
Is pickup really free?
Yes — 100% free. Once you accept our offer, we arrange and cover all logistics and transportation costs. You don't pay for loading, freight, or anything else. The number we offer is the number you receive.
How soon can you pick up?
In most cases, we can schedule pickup within 2–5 business days of offer acceptance. For urgent situations (closing deadlines, lease endings, estate sales), we can often expedite — just let us know your timeline when you accept.
Do I need to load the parts onto the truck?
No — our team handles all loading. We come prepared with the right equipment and manpower to safely load and transport your parts. All you need to do is point us to the inventory.
Do I need to sort or organize the parts first?
Not at all. We buy sorted and unsorted lots alike. Whether your parts are on shelves, in boxes, on pallets, or scattered across a warehouse, we'll handle it as-is. No need to spend hours organizing before we arrive.
What if I'm not ready for pickup yet?
That's fine — we work around your schedule. When you accept the offer, we'll coordinate a pickup window that works for you. If you need time to prepare or clear space, just let us know.
Do you pick up from residential addresses?
Yes — we regularly pick up from residential garages, storage units, and estates. If the parts are accessible, we'll come get them. Just describe the location and access situation in your submission.
Payment
How and when you get paid.
How do I get paid?
You choose — business check or direct bank transfer (ACH). Both are issued immediately upon pickup. If you prefer wire transfer for large transactions, we can accommodate that as well.
When do I get paid — before or after pickup?
Payment is issued at the time of pickup, once the parts are loaded and confirmed. You'll have payment in hand (or in your account) before our truck leaves your location. We never take parts without paying.
Do you take a commission or cut?
No. The offer we make is the amount you receive — full stop. There are no commissions, no listing fees, no deductions for pickup, and no hidden charges of any kind.
Can you pay a company rather than an individual?
Absolutely. We regularly pay businesses directly — LLCs, corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships. Just provide your business details when accepting the offer, and we'll issue payment accordingly.
Do I need to provide any tax paperwork?
For most transactions, no. We'll ask for standard business information (name, address, EIN or SSN depending on entity type) for our records. If a transaction requires additional documentation, we'll let you know upfront.
Parts We Accept
What we buy — and what we don't.
What types of parts do you buy?
We buy 9 major categories: new OEM parts, aftermarket parts, surplus inventory, obsolete/dead stock, tools & equipment, tires & wheels, engines & transmissions, body panels, and bulk lots/whole inventories. If you're unsure whether your parts qualify, just ask.
